Vanessa has been honored to share the “boards” with Rudolf Nureyev, Natalia Makarova, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Gelsey Kirkland, Cynthia Gregory, and Fernando Bujones. Her teachers and coaches included Natalia Makarova, Ivan Nagy, Robert Joffery, David Howard, Robert Denvers, and the venerable Maestro Hector Zaraspe (coach of Dame Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev), who choreographed “Oasis,” a pas de deux, especially for Vanessa. Today, Vanessa Tiegs still continues to teach a select few young dancers her love of ballet tradition and modern techniques.
